Head & Neck Surgical Oncology
Although Head & Neck Surgical Oncology is not a specialty which leads towards the award of a CCT / CESR (CP) / CCST, the SACs in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Otolaryngology and Plastic Surgery, through the JCST Training Interface Group, jointly recognise several national advanced head and neck surgical oncology posts for training. These fellowships are open to trainees in the three specialties who are in either StR training at ST7-ST8 or Calman (SpR) years 5-6. The curriculum for the Head & Neck Surgical Oncology TIG fellowship can be found in the relevant parent curricula here.
Recruitment to these posts is managed nationally by Severn Postgraduate Medical Education. Applicants will need to provide structured references from their current Training Programme Director and consultant supervisor.
