JCST trainee survey 2016/2017
04 Nov 2016
The survey has been amended for the 2016/17 training year and is now available via the Training History page in the ISCP.
The survey is structured as follows:
- There are 30 questions for all trainees to answer, covering patient safety, working conditions, training opportunities, quality of experience and access to simulation training and facilities. An additional question on undermining behaviour has been included.
- New questions have been added for trainees in Cardiothoracic Surgery, Core Surgical Training (T&O placements), Neurosurgery, OMFS, Otolaryngology, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, T&O and Urology.
- Questions for General Surgery trainees, less than fulltime trainees and academic trainees remain unchanged.
Updated survey FAQs have been added to the JCST website here. If you would like any further detail about the survey, please do not hesitate to contact the JCST Quality Team on qa@jcst.org.
We should like to extend our thanks to all Core and Specialty trainees who completed a survey during the 2015/2016 training year. Your views are very important to the JCST and are vital in helping us to measure the quality of UK surgical training.
