JCST trainee survey report

18 Dec 2019

The JCST has published its fourth annual trainee survey report. We extend our thanks to all Core and Specialty trainees who completed a survey during the 2016/17 and 2017/18 training years. There were 30/31 questions for all trainees to answer, covering patient safety, working conditions, training opportunities, quality of experience and access to simulation training and facilities. The JCST monitors reports of undermining behaviour via the survey.

A key purpose of the survey is to monitor the achievement of JCST Quality Indicators. A significant review of the quality indicators for all specialties and core is planned for 2020 in order to ensure that they remain aligned with the new surgical curricula.

The report is accessible via the JCST website.
