The timetable for a quality assurance inspection
A quality assurance inspection timetable could resemble the following:
- Arrange for all consultants to meet the visiting team.
- Invite chief executive and postgraduate dean.
- Arrange for the higher surgical trainees to be interviewed individually by the visitors (approx 15 minutes each). Trainees are required to bring along copies of their up-to-date CVs/logbooks/training post assessment forms etc. trainees who are not available are also required to provide this information.
- Arrange a tour of departmental facilities.
- Allow time for the visitors to meet in private.
- Plenary sessions for visitors to feedback to consultants.
It is essential that the visitors have the opportunity to meet with as many of the trainees and consultants as possible.
