Article 14
Surgeons without a CCT/CCST are now able to apply for entry in the GMC’s Specialist Register under Article 14 of the General Medical Practice and Specialist Medical Education Training and Qualifications Order 2003. Under this route, Surgeons may apply for evaluation of specialist training or specialist qualifications as well as acquired specialist medical experience or knowledge wherever obtained to determine if they are similar to a surgeon who has completed a UK CCT or CCST.
