Resignation of training numbers and the award of Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training

Please note advice from the Specialist Training Authority which awards the CCST. Under the current legislation, in order for an individual to be eligible for the award of a CCST they must be holding a Type 1 training post when they complete the training requirements. Trainees cannot resign their NTN having completed their training (but without passing the Intercollegiate Specialty Examination) and still be eligible for the award of a CCST.
